bookworm-backports, including gajim 1.8.4-1~bpo12+1, targets Debian 12 bookworm, which had gtk+3.0 3.24.37-2 from the start, if I'm not mistaken. (Now it even has 3.24.38-2~deb12u1.) I.e. for a normal, up-to-date system (or even not up-to-date, like Debian 12.0), there shouldn't be any issue. I assume, you should do that: sudo apt update && sudo apt full-upgrade Cheers
