Package: bootcd Version: 6.6.5 Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
when trying to ignore a folder with files bigger than 4GB, I get the following error message: ---------- snip ----- bootcdwrite -m -y -c */root/bootcdwrite.conf* --- Checking for possible Problems --- --- Cleanup --- --- WARNING --- S_NEED_COMPRESS > S_VAR (113717304 > 72959976) To enable compression there must be much space (S_VAR) available in /var/spool/bootcd to hold extra space for compression. We need double as much space (S_NEED_COMPRESS) as will be copied to CD. but the space available is not enough i (-y) --- Sizes in KByte (du -klsc ) --- NOT_TO_CD = . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 24176524 CD_ALL (SRCDISK v NOT_TO_CD) = . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 81035176 Needed = CD_ALL - NOT_TO_CD . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 56858652 DVD+ (4.7 billion bytes) = . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 4700000 because of compression perhaps double size = . . . . . . . . . . . 9400000 --- WARNING --- SRCDISK does not fit on DVD (Needed > DVD) You can exclude files/dirs in NOT_TO_CD in bootcdwrite.conf. For me, it looks like a bug. Another thing (maybe the same reason): Folders with a space in the name, like "VirtualBox VMs", can not be recognized. Even when masking the name, like "VirtualBox\ VM" it recognizes two folders: "VirtualBox\" and "VM". The trailing slash is beeing ignored. I am happy for any help.
