Hello Osamu, after a long delay, I am back on po4a. I just commited something to po4a(7) to make it more explicit that po4a-gettextize should only be used when converting an existing project to po4a, and that po4a-update should be used (or even better: po4a) instead on a regular basis. I would appreciate if you could review the change: https://github.com/mquinson/po4a/commit/c8624368d69f5c5e75444baef5b8d42eb6dbab8d Re-reading the logs of this bug, I think that this could be sufficient to consider the bug as solved. Do you agree?
Nevertheless, I'm interested in what seems to be a feature missing in po4a(1): > Please also realize that my Makefile also use opencc to translate > missing translation msgstr in PO files supplimenting between zh_CN and > zh_TW peacefully. po4a command has no way to do this either. Could you please tell me more about it? I'm wondering whether the section "Filtering the translated strings" of po4a(1) could be used to solve the issue you are facing. Or maybe what you need is a sort of fallback mechanism where the translation of language B could be used when not available in language A. I guess that this fallback could be useful to many people, such as danish and swedish, portuguese and brazilian, and other language pairs. But that's only my feeling and I prefer to have a confirmation of a given need before I start implementing something. Thanks for your feedback and have a good day, Mt
