The message from me that Alaric Dailey <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> put to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> was addressed only to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>. I do not in general object to a message I posted to one public forum being put to another but it offends my sensibilities that a request I made for more information from the cacert list should be put to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> as pretext to debate in this venue issues IMHO far removed from my attempt to second the motion for the inclusion the CAcert class certificate and to make the motion comply with the procedure specified in /usr/share/doc/ca-certificates/README.Debian.
I am neither a Debian maintainer nor a spokesman for CAcert.org but only a user of both. I could therefore be persuaded otherwise, but until I am, I shall restrict my posting to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> to issues pertaining to compliance to the above mentioned README.Debian and to uniform and consistent application of the criteria stated therein to the CAcert class3 certificate. Please notice that I an _not_ cross-posting this message to the cacert list because I do not wish to encourage further cross-posting. I will however forward a verbatim copy of this message to that list. I would welcome a personal mail telling me if there is a Debian policy published about CA Certificates or a Debian venue where such policy is being discussed and where folk that are not Debian maintainers are welcome. jam
