Package: nedit
Version: 1:5.5-2
Severity: normal

Keyboard shortcuts such as Alt-f seem to generate a double
response. e.g. pressing Alt-f brings up the File menu and
then immediately opens the 'Load Calltips File...' dialogue
(the entry in the File menu which corresponds to the keyboard
shortcut 'f').

Alt-e and Alt-s have similar problems: e.g. instead of
dropping down the Edit menu, Alt-e converts any highlighted
text to upper case. Instead of dropping down the Search menu,
Alt-s performs a 'Find Selection'...

Alt-p doesn't show the problem as there is no entry in the
Preferences menu which corresponds to 'p'.
