Hi,Using mpicc,etc is the conventional approach for MPI, but I favour moving to pkg-config.
The reason is that we've seen a 'wrapper-war' with other packages adding eg hdf5cc etc wrappers on top of mpicc , etc and above - one wrapper on top of another which as an approach is unsustainable. pkg-config can sort out the stacking as needed.
