reassigning back to miscfiles, The problem is that miscfiles/languages is not something expected to be translated, because it will be later merged to prepare the list passed to debconf. Translation will not match respective key at /var/cache/dictionaries-common/wordlist.db, and an error will appear. That is the reason why the field is something like english name (whatever you want in english or the dict language) as some sort of poor man internationalization. Untranslated fields is a known limitation of the system, but considering that what debconf shows is a merge of what is supplied by packages and that entries must match those under /var/cache/dictionaries-common, is something we will have to live with.
