Package: alsaplayer-common Version: 0.99.76-7 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable
Many applications which use alsa can't play sound anymore and some can't even start. I don't know what is the exact guilty package, all I know is it's related to alsa. When I start alsaplayer, I get the following error : Failed to load output plugin "alsa". Trying defaults. /usr/lib/alsaplayer/output/libalsa_out.so: symbol snd_pcm_hw_params_set_periods_near, version ALSA_0.9.0rc4 not defined in file libasound.so.2 with link time reference My soundcard is an Intel AC97. lspci says : Multimedia audio controller: Intel Corporation 82801DB/DBL/DBM (ICH4/ICH4-L/ICH4-M) AC'97 Audio Controller (rev 03) -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (990, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.16-1-686 Locale: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages alsaplayer-common depends on: ii alsaplayer-alsa [alsaplayer- 0.99.76-7 PCM player designed for ALSA (ALSA ii alsaplayer-gtk [alsaplayer-i 0.99.76-7 PCM player designed for ALSA (GTK ii libc6 2.3.6-9 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libflac7 1.1.2-4 Free Lossless Audio Codec - runtim ii libgcc1 1:4.1.0-4 GCC support library ii libid3tag0 0.15.1b-8 ID3 tag reading library from the M ii libmad0 0.15.1b-2.1 MPEG audio decoder library ii libmikmod2 3.1.11-a-6 A portable sound library ii libogg0 1.1.3-2 Ogg Bitstream Library ii liboggflac3 1.1.2-4 Free Lossless Audio Codec - runtim ii libsndfile1 1.0.15-3 Library for reading/writing audio ii libstdc++6 4.1.0-4 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii libvorbis0a 1.1.2-1 The Vorbis General Audio Compressi ii libvorbisfile3 1.1.2-1 The Vorbis General Audio Compressi ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3-11 compression library - runtime alsaplayer-common recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
