The transition from 10 to 16 slots per shelf was made in release 5:

make number of slots per shelf configurable
Could you please update this package? Upstream just released version 10.
Of course, following Debian conventions, bit might have been more appropriate
to
call these 0.xx-y releases, though no distinction is made upstream between
major
upgrades and minor point releases.
Thanks for the good work -- it's great to have this in Debian!
