Package: ffmpeg Version: 0.cvs20050313-2sarge1 Severity: wishlist Several command-line options (at least -ss and -t) take a time period as their argument. The time period can be specified as numbers of hours, minutes and seconds separated by colons, or as a number of seconds. In either case there may be a fractional number of seconds.
I have occasionally tried to specify a time period as minutes and seconds separated by a colon and have been surprised to find that the first number was interpreted as a number of seconds (not minutes) and the second number ignored without any warning! ffmpeg should either suport this time format or exit with an error if it could not parse the whole of a time period string.
