Hi Michael, thank you for the patch and your input to various bug reports about network-manager-strongswan. I have prepared a new version on Salsa https://salsa.debian.org/debian/network-manager-strongswan (not verified yet). Would you mind to take a look, esp. at the maintscript? I haven't used this feature before.
I do not see any changes in master or a dedicated MR or branch. Have you not yet pushed your changes?
Are there some special actions necessary about the /etc/NetworkManager/VPN directory? AFAIU the maintscript cannot remove directories.
Correct, there is no automatic cleanup of that directory. Personally, I wouldn't bother with cleaning that up manually.Maybe I'll consider making this directory owned by the network-manager package, so it would be cleaned up by dpkg when the package is removed.
From a quick glance at debian/rules, you might consider dropping the obsolete configure switch --without-libnm-glib, this is no longer necessary:
NetworkManager-strongswan-1.6.0 ------------------------------- - Support for GTK 4 - Removed libnm-glib compatibility
