Dear Maintainer,
debian-start uses obsolate hardcoded /etc/mysql/debian.cnf. The file
will bee removed in the future. When this file exists, I get
"Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost'" with mariaDB Unix Socket
Authentication Plugin.
Here is a possible fix:
