Yes, it should, but the fact that it doesn't is not a bug in the amarok
package, but in libxine1. See http://bugs.debian.org/358429.

I'll either close this bug soon, or will merge with the previous one. In
the meantime, could you tell me whether outputting to arts works with
libxine1 1.1.1-1 ? You can find that version here:
