tags 1037168 + bookworm thanks Hello. I'm not reopening this bug, but I also think it would be good to have it fixed in bookworm in a point release, for consistency.
There are a number of packages which FTBFS in bookworm if we follow Policy 4.2 strictly, because they have a missing BD on tzdata. While the bugs are not considered RC, the same version of the same package builds ok in trixie (because they indirectly BD on libpython3.11-stdlib, which now depends on tzdata). This seems a little bit inconsistent and suggests that some of those bugs are really this bug in libpython3.11-stdlib. Thanks.
