Package: thunderbird-l10n-fr Version: 1:115.3.1-1~deb12u1 Severity: normal Tags: l10n
Dear Maintainer, All the french menus disappear after update of thunderbird To try to solve, I go to the settings:general:Language BUT I can only choose the English(US) , the others languages have disappear and to install other languages ( with "search for more languages" ) I must accept a connexion to mozilla's servers * What led up to the situation? 1. an update done with apt ( apt-get update && apt-get upgrade ), which installed a new version of thunderbird and thunderbird-l10n-fr ( 1:102.15.1-1~deb12u1 updated to 1:115.3.1-1~deb12u1 ) 2. no access to mozilla's servers ( blocked by /etc/hosts ) on the computer The only solution to solve the problem is to accept an update from mozilla's servers BUT I don't want to, I don't understand why I should accept that : I'm on debian not on mozilla's linux * What outcome did you expect instead? I'd like to have a thunderbird without having to ask anything to mozilla corporation and so I expect that thunderbird-l10n-fr gives me all the languages I need without asking to mozilla. -- System Information: Debian Release: 12.2 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable-security'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 6.1.0-13-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages thunderbird-l10n-fr depends on: ii thunderbird 1:115.3.1-1~deb12u1 Versions of packages thunderbird-l10n-fr recommends: ii hunspell-fr 1:7.0-1 thunderbird-l10n-fr suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
