Two “e”s are missing. The correct German phrase would be “Datei f1 ist eine

Hello. I'm closing this bug because according to the rules of Translation
Project,
programmers (and I include myself here as a Debian maintainer) should only
accept
translations from the Translation Project.
There is also a message in diff --help saying how to report translation bugs:
$ diff --help | grep translationproject
Übersetzungsfehler an <http://translationproject.org/team/de.html>.
However, I'm including Friedrich Beckmann (leader for the "de" team)
and Mario Blättermann (last translator) in the CC, so that they are aware
of this issue that you reported and it's not lost.
While we are at it, a quick look at the latest "de.po" file says
this is the relevant string that would have to be changed:
#: src/diff.c:1411 src/diff.c:1461
#, c-format
msgid "File %s is a %s while file %s is a %s\n"
msgstr "Datei %s ist ein %s, während Datei %s ein %s ist.\n"
I see a potential problem here, because the %s is
to be replaced by different types of "files".
If all of them have the same gender, then the proposed fix
would make sense.
However, if not all of them have the same gender, then this
would be an internationalization problem, not a localization
problem, and in such case you should probably report it as a
bug to bug-diffut...@gnu.org.
Thanks.
