This package installs the library for Python 3 and also the "ping3" command. --------- This is a soft dependency of "simplemonitor" (ITP #1016113). "Soft" dependency because simplemonitor can operate without it if not using the monitor "ping" (and, instead, using the monitor "host" which spawns /usr/bin/ping). Users using "simplemonitor" in Debian, if "ping3" is not available, would not be able to share files between a simplemonitor from pypi or from Debian. Using python-ping3 in simplemonitor also improve efficiency. I plan to maintain it isnide the debian-python team. I am looking for a sponsor.
