Package: wpasupplicant Severity: normal Hi,
one of my networks is still WEP protected and has its SSID hidden. My configuration: iface wlan-some-site inet dhcp wpa-driver wext wpa-ssid some-ssid wpa-key-mgmt NONE wpa-wep-key0 <deleted> wpa-ap-scan 1 wpa-scan-ssid 1 The wireless LAN interface takes a long time to associate with the network. I frequently need to try ifup eth1=wlan-some-site multiple times before the network eventually comes up. While waiting, iwconfig eth1 shows that no ssid and no wep key has yet been configured into the card, so wpasupplicant seems to be waiting for something before doing so. Manually configuring the ssid and key makes the interface associate immediately.
