Package: gnome-terminal Version: 3.49.92-2 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
I noticed a strange behavior today, that was not present in July. When I run vim (gtk3 or basic) in a gnome terminal, if I keep SHIFT pressed and left-click with the mouse, the behavior I get is the same as pressing PageDown. I tried it with another account that has no .vimrc and got the same issue. To compare, I have run vim in xterm and konsole and did not have this weird behavior: shift+double-click selected a word as expected. I may be getting the PageDown behavior *in addition to* the normal behavior. If I go to the end of the file so PageDown has no effect, shift+double-click does select a word. PageDown seems to be the expected behavior when rotating the wheel of the mouse while pressing SHIFT, in case that matters. I noticed the issue with the version of gnome-terminal in testing and only upgraded it to experimental because reportbug asked me to check that the bug was still present there (it is). -- System Information: Debian Release: trixie/sid APT prefers testing-debug APT policy: (500, 'testing-debug'), (500, 'stable-security'), (500, 'stable-debug'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable'), (50, 'unstable-debug'), (50, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 6.4.0-3-amd64 (SMP w/16 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_PROPRIETARY_MODULE, TAINT_OOT_MODULE Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_US:en Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages gnome-terminal depends on: ii dbus-user-session [default-dbus-session-bus] 1.14.8-2 ii dbus-x11 [dbus-session-bus] 1.14.8-2 ii dconf-gsettings-backend [gsettings-backend] 0.40.0-4 ii gnome-terminal-data 3.49.92-2 ii gsettings-desktop-schemas 44.0-2 ii libatk1.0-0 2.49.90-5 ii libc6 2.37-7 ii libgcc-s1 13.2.0-2 ii libglib2.0-0 2.77.2-1 ii libgtk-3-0 3.24.38-4 ii libhandy-1-0 1.8.2-2 ii libpango-1.0-0 1.51.0+ds-2 ii libstdc++6 13.2.0-2 ii libuuid1 2.39.2-1 ii libvte-2.91-0 0.73.93-1 ii libx11-6 2:1.8.6-1 Versions of packages gnome-terminal recommends: ii gvfs 1.51.90-1 ii nautilus-extension-gnome-terminal 3.49.92-2 ii yelp 42.2-1 gnome-terminal suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
