Ah. I see the confusion. The menu that is brought up by lwm is a menu
of all the hidden windows. It doesn't have options like "start a new
window manager" or "run random program". The lwm philosophy is to have
that functionality in a different program.

Having said that, if you're using lwm without a session manager, I think
it needs to have the "exec another window manager" functionality, as
killing lwm will cause your X session to end. I'll raise this point
with upstream. In the meantime, I'll fix the manpage so it doesn't
confuse others:

 .PP
A button 3 click on a window frame hides that window. Pressing
-button 3 on the root window brings up a menu. The various items unhide
-the named hidden window.
+button 3 on the root window brings up a menu of all the hidden windows.
+Releasing the button while over an item will unhide the named window.

himself that the war is just, and will thank God for the better sleep
he enjoys after this process of grotesque self-deception." -- Mark Twain
