# apt-get install fnfx-client fnfxd [...] Setting up fnfxd (0.3-9) ... Starting Toshiba hotkeys utils: FnFX Daemon v0.3 (c) 2003, 2004 Timo Hoenig <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> fatal error: Could open /proc/acpi/toshiba/keys. Please make sure that your kernel has enabled the Toshiba option in the ACPI section. For more information read the documentation and/or http://fnfx.sf.net/index.php?section=doc#kernel. invoke-rc.d: initscript fnfxd, action "start" failed. dpkg: error processing fnfxd (--configure): subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1 dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of fnfx-client: fnfx-client depends on fnfxd (= 0.3-9); however: Package fnfxd is not configured yet. dpkg: error processing fnfx-client (--configure): dependency problems - leaving unconfigured Errors were encountered while processing: fnfxd fnfx-client E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1) # Maybe checking for existence of /proc/acpi/toshiba/ before running invoke-rc.d in maintainer scripts would be a good idea. Otherwise it's not possible to install/remove the package if the toshiba kernel module is not present/loaded. You have to manually edit /var/lib/dpkg/info/fnfxd.p* then to be able to remove the package. And I think there's an logic error in the error message: "fatal error: Could open /proc/acpi/toshiba/keys." ^ I assume this should be "not" :) regards, -mika- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
