Package: tftpd-hpa
Severity: important

Hello

When using tftpd-hpa from /etc/inetd.conf it does not seem to change
it's UID as supposed.

When using "udp wait tftpd" it does not start due to the known "cannot change
to user nobody/tftpd" bug, when using the following line it just runs as
root. Used and group 'tftpd' were created by me.

# grep tftp /etc/inetd.conf
tftp dgram udp wait root /usr/sbin/tcpd
        /usr/sbin/in.tftpd -u tftpd -v -U 077 -s /mnt/sda6/tftpboot

# ps faxu|grep tftp
 root 21061 0.0 0.0 1984 584 ? S 14:39 0:00 \_ in.tftpd
  -u tftpd -v -U 077 -s /mnt/sda6/tftpboot

# cat /proc/21061/status
 Name: in.tftpd
 ...
 Uid: 0 0 0 0
 Gid: 0 0 0 0

bye,

-christian-
