Package: tar Version: 1.34 unreadable part of files are shrank by "x" bytes while ddrescue can save more bytes than tar shrank routine. So my idea is to run ddrescue in these cases in order to rescue more bytes from the file.
Also, tar when finished says "finished with errors" without reporting that errors where "shranking". Neither prints the filepaths/files that were shrank by x bytes. I think this is an important bug cause it can result defunct useless files. My system is linux with debian bookworm 12.
