Package: apt Version: 0.6.44.1 Severity: important
Hi, Since the introduction of diff-based Packages files in apt, I have problems with regular old-school Packages.bz2 (or Packages.gz) files. When I change the Packages.* file on my unofficial repository, I run apt-get update, I get: Failed to fetch http://thomas.enix.org/pub/debian/packages/dists/unstable/main/binary-i386/Packages.bz2 Sub-process bzip2 returned an error code (2) I know it's not caused by the file itself, because I've found a workaround. 1) Remove the source from /etc/apt/sources.list, 2) Run apt-get update, 3) Re-add the source to /etc/apt/sources.list and 4) Run apt-get update again. And this time, it'll works. I've reproduced this problem on my sid system, in my sid pbuilder environnement, and a friend also reproduced it on his sid system.
