kindleclip seems to be the only package in unstable that depends on
ruby-gtk2, a GTK 2 binding for Ruby.

GTK 2 was superseded by GTK 3 in 2011 (see
<https://bugs.debian.org/947713>). It has been discontinued by its upstream
developer and no longer receives any upstream maintenance.

If kindleclip is either updated to GTK 3 or removed, then src:ruby-gnome
should be able to drop the ruby-gtk2 binary package, perhaps with a change
similar to
<https://salsa.debian.org/ruby-team/ruby-gnome/-/commit/42c672537e787093fbb18a83d2bcdcbb8df053ba>,
which would reduce the amount of technical debt in the archive.

ruby-gnome seems to provide GTK 3 bindings already, but I don't know Ruby,
so I don't know where to look for a porting guide.

Thanks,
