Hi Marc, thank you for your report, but I'm not sure I understand and/or can reproduce it. Using a fairly standard Bookworm install with Xfce, the workspace switch seems just fine for me. I tried to configure the plugin to display using two rows, then added 16 workspaces (to get a 8x2 layout like you) but it seems to display just fine.
