Package: 389-ds-base Version: 1.4.4.11-2 Severity: important Tags: upstream
Dear Maintainer, * What led up to the situation? 389-ds is regularly triggering compaction (notably during checkpointing), which, with the version currently provided, systematically leads to a crash. * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? The systemd service has to be restarted manually. (cf. https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1029040 which is about the fact that the systemd service is not restared automatically, but was actually triggered by the crash reported here). This issue had been raised to the 389-users mailing list last year: https://lists.pagure.io/archives/list/389-us...@lists.fedoraproject.org/thread/DUL2K4EZJU4XOCVWVKPJC2OSWLZCOTHO/ and we reactivated this thread a few days ago. The upstream developers kindly pointed out that the issue has been fixed in the v1.4.4 branch: https://github.com/389ds/389-ds-base/issues/4778 (see https://lists.pagure.io/archives/list/389-us...@lists.fedoraproject.org/message/ECYB7P3U4JMQP3SMIZPYUBO5VK6LB52F/ for more background) Would it be possible to upgrade 389-ds-base to the latest v1.4.4 version (it seems to me that this is v1.4.4.19) or one containing this fix? Upstream wrote that the fix was introduced in v1.4.4.16. Thanks in advance!
