tig 2.5.8 was released a couple of months ago. I have been able to locally run 2.5.8 on my x86 and arm64 systems just fine. Note: * the debian VCS repo was not updated since 2.5.1-1 even though 2.5.5-1 was published in the mean time * I am willing to help maintain this package, at least follow updates and provide and test patches.
