Thanks for the information. Although the description does mention 
potential problems with /etc/network/interfaces, it doesn't mention the 
solution, and this naming is confusing. Usually *-base packages are not 
packages meant to be installed alone. It would be clearer if the current 
dhcpcd package was named dhcpcd-systemd-integration (or something 
similar), and the current dhcpcd-base package was just dhcpcd.
