If you have already running smartd and do:
~$ /etc/init.d/smartmontools start
(you get)
Starting S.M.A.R.T. daemon: smartd (failed)
It is OK, that 2nd or other instance will not run, but message should be
like:
Starting S.M.A.R.T. daemon: smartd (failed - already running?)
Starting S.M.A.R.T. daemon: smartd (failed - Only one instance can run
at the time!)
Thanks for the smartmontools package.
Thanks for Debian (best ever) distro.
Thanks to all Debian package maintainers.
