libsdl-perl is a language binding for SDL 1.2, which is unmaintained upstream (superseded by SDL 2). I'm assuming that a binding for SDL 2 would have to be a separate package under a different name, so I've marked this as wontfix: it's likely that the only way it can be closed is if libsdl-perl is removed from Debian, after porting or removing the games that currently depend on it. Alien::SDL2, Alien::libsdl2 and SDL2::FFI seem to be possible replacements, none of which are currently packaged in Debian. I have no knowledge of their level of quality, so I am unable to make a recommendation.
