sdl-sound1.2 is an extension for SDL 1.2, which is unmaintained upstream. It seems quite likely that sdl-sound1.2 is dead upstream as well. There is no direct replacement that I am aware of, but libsdl2-mixer seems vaguely similar. sdl-sound1.2 seems to include SDL 1.2 objects in its API/ABI, so it will not be possible to convert it to SDL 2 without breaking API/ABI.
