No, but looking at /usr/share/doc/shared-mime-info/changelog.gz, the latest entry regarding java dates back to 2004-11-26. I would match that to the date in changelog.Debian and then take this version number. >> Nevertheless it would be nice if you installed the icons as outlined by >> Sam. >> >> And last but not least, I would recommend to move the files >> /usr/share/control-center-2.0/capplets/sun-java5-policytool.desktop and >> /usr/share/control-center-2.0/capplets/sun-java5-controlpanel.desktop >> to /usr/share/applications. Using the fd.o menu specification [1] is better because other desktops will benefit from it (without regressions on the Gnome side. Putting the *.desktop files into /usr/share/applications will still make them show up in the gnome-control-center) >> As >> an additional benefit the menu entries it will also show up nicely under >> the KDE start menu under Settings (other DEs like XFCE would benefit too). >> The only change I'd propose is to remove GNOME from Categories: in the >> *.desktop files as these applications are not Gnome specific. >> >> And one last thing: You should set Encoding=UTF-8 in >> sun-java5-java.desktop and sun-java5-javaws.desktop. >> >> Cheers, >> Michael >> >> >> [1]http://standards.freedesktop.org/shared-mime-info-spec/shared-mime-info-spec-0.13.html >> [2]http://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Standards_2fOtherSystems > [1] http://standards.freedesktop.org/menu-spec/1.0/ -- Why is it that all of the instruments seeking intelligent life in the universe are pointed away from Earth?
