Package: libfreetype6
Version: 2.2.1-1
Severity: normal

Hi,

On my system, libfreetype6 2.1.10-3 seemed to work fine. High-quality
TrueType fonts looked sharp on the screen; the library seemed to use
the hints in the TrueType fonts properly.

After upgrading to libfreetype6 2.2.1-1, the fonts look blurred. The
result is similar (but not exactly the same) as if one had enabled
"autohint" in the older version of the libfreetype6. Some random
experiments with ~/.fonts.conf did not help.

Downgrading to libfreetype6 2.1.10-3 fixes the problem.

Best regards,
Jukka Suomela
