Dear Maintainer, there exist dependency to mingw-w64 build system, and in label binary-indep is called i686-w64-mingw32-strip. This is not nice for cross building, where not need any w64 binaries, and typically the whole build system for i686-w64-mingw32 is never need. Why was put the build for "gzip.exe" in binary-indep packages for a Linux system? Please remove the dependency mingw-w64 and do not build "gzip.exe". -- System Information: Debian Release: bookworm/sid APT prefers testing-security APT policy: (500, 'testing-security'), (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i586 Kernel: Linux 4.19.0-16-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU threads) Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/bash Init: unable to detect Versions of packages gzip depends on: ii dpkg 1.21.21 ii libc6 2.36-8 gzip recommends no packages.
