thank you for your report. Yes, you're right that deluge-console is broken in current unstable/testing, this has been fixed in the newer upstream version that can be found in experimental, I'm versioned-closing the bug as such. The situation for deluge in bookworm is rather unfortunate, I took over while bookworm was in freeze already so a lot of fixes, like this one, can't make it into bookworm anymore due to freeze policy. Let's make sure that the upper-next Debian release will have a decent deluge package from the start and use a backport of the (currently 2.1.1-3 in experimental) newer version in the meanwhile.
