It appears there was a change in libX11 1.8.1 which causes fvwm to crash due to thread locking. This bug was fixed in fvwm3, and a backport of the fix has been made for fvwm. You can find the fix here: https://github.com/fvwmorg/fvwm/pull/102 I haven't had time to reproduce the bug and see if this fixes it, but all signs point to yes. I have made a new package and uploaded to mentors. It would be nice if I can get confirmation this fixes the issue before getting the fix into Debian. jaimos
