Package: libapt-pkg-perl Version: 0.1.13 Followup-For: Bug #294732 As the previous report where quite theritical on the effect of not having a version linked with apt 0.6:
/etc/cron.daily/apt-show-versions Can't load '/usr/lib/perl5/auto/AptPkg/AptPkg.so' for module AptPkg: libapt-pkg-libc6.3-5.so.3.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory at /usr/lib/perl/5.8/DynaLoader.pm line 225. at /usr/lib/perl5/AptPkg/Config.pm line 8 Compilation failed in require at /usr/lib/perl5/AptPkg/Config.pm line 8. BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/lib/perl5/AptPkg/Config.pm line 8. Compilation failed in require at /usr/bin/apt-show-versions line 41. BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/bin/apt-show-versions line 41. ldd /usr/lib/perl5/auto/AptPkg/AptPkg.so libapt-pkg-libc6.3-5.so.3.3 => not found libstdc++.so.5 => /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.5 (0x418d0000) libm.so.6 => /lib/tls/libm.so.6 (0x41896000) libgcc_s.so.1 => /lib/libgcc_s.so.1 (0x4198f000) libc.so.6 => /lib/tls/libc.so.6 (0x41760000) /lib/ld-linux.so.2 => /lib/ld-linux.so.2 (0x80000000) thus this breaks other software (which was already known). My requesting this fixed is based on the fact that apt is not liek other software in experimental. It is more like an upstream version which will soon reach release. Testing it for monthes most bugs seems fixed. Thus i am eager to see if the only software that fails (due to missing library) works too : apt-show-versions Thanks for the ubiquous apt Alban -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.11-rc5-mm.1 Locale: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages libapt-pkg-perl depends on: ii libapt-pkg-libc6-dummy [lib 0.6.25 Dummy package to fulfil package de ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-20 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libgcc1 1:4.0-0pre5 GCC support library ii libstdc++5 1:3.3.5-8 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii perl-base [perlapi-5.8.4] 5.8.4-6 The Pathologically Eclectic Rubbis -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
