Using your examples, the resulting groff output for the following
examples is:
<arg choice="opt">-sa</arg>
[\-sa]
<arg choice="opt">\-sa</arg>
[\\\-sa]
As you can see, the '-' and the '\' are automatically escaped (IIRC by
default since a long time). So I tag this bug 'fixed-upstream'.
