With respect to the package being outdated, I realize that the sources have not been sync'd with upstream for a long while, but that's because upstream has not released any versions (no tags) since 2.11; and I always wait for upstream releases before syncing. From time to time, I do some backporting (cherry-pick); though I have a somewhat long list of request from other users that I haven't applied yet, but plan to do so soon. Now with respect to the problem you're getting with the readline patch, could you provide more details about your freezes? Maybe a directory structure and files, as well as the pattern you are trying to complete? That would help me reproduce the problem. I don't want to remove the patch all of a sudden, because it's been there since a long time (since before I was the maintainer). Best regards, Gabriel
