The bulk of the patch was mostly patch metadata and rebase artifacts,
the actual patch introducing the change modified only 4 files.

It reduces the dependency tree, as libbsd has transitively linked
against libmd for a long time, and libmd is now even in the
pseudo-essential set (via dpkg). :)
