Looking through journalctl, I was able to find out where the system was getting stuck.
Mar XX XX:XX:XX XXXXXX kernel: i915 0000:00:02.0: enabling device (0006 -> 0007) Would hang here, and be forced to hard reboot. This was shortly after Mar XX XX:XX:XX XXXXXXX kernel: NVRM: loading NVIDIA UNIX x86_64 Kernel Module 525.89.02 Wed Feb 1 23:23:25 UTC 2023 makes me think it is a race condition? I am not an expert so I don't really know if that is the right term. Hope this helps!
