Package: bzflag Version: 2.4.26-1 Severity: normal X-Debbugs-Cc: blast...@users.sourceforge.net
Dear Maintainer, The bzflag-server package installs and enables a systemd service that will run an instance of bzfs with a minimal configuration. The bzflag-client package suggests the bzflag-server package (and both the -client and -server packages are installed by the bzflag metapackage). The BZFlag client has a Start Server menu that allows a user to quickly configure and start a basic bzfs instance for LAN play. However, because the bzflag-server package runs bzfs automatically, the client fails to launch an instance of bzfs. My expection would be that the systemd service would be disabled by default when installed. As an aside, it might also be more useful if a configuration file in /etc was referenced via the -conf option so that editing the service wasn't needed to make configuration changes. -- System Information: Debian Release: bookworm/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 6.1.0-5-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages bzflag depends on: ii bzflag-client 2.4.26-1 ii bzflag-server 2.4.26-1 bzflag recommends no packages. bzflag suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
