Package: libgl2ps1.4 Version: 1.4.0+dfsg1-2 Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
* What led up to the situation? GNU Octave can't export figures containing image objects to SVG format. * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? The following Octave code fails: image () print toto.svg * What was the outcome of this action? The image is absent from the resulting figure. Warning message: GL2PS warning: GL2PS must be compiled with PNG support in order to embed images in SVG streams * What outcome did you expect instead? This should work, and it does if I compile GL2PS with PNG support (I only have to install libpng-dev for that to happen automatically) and LD_PRELOAD this library before running Octave. Thanks for your work. -- System Information: Debian Release: bullseye/sid APT prefers focal-updates APT policy: (500, 'focal-updates'), (500, 'focal-security'), (500, 'focal') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 5.4.0-137-generic (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=fr_FR:en_US:en (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages libgl2ps1.4 depends on: ii libc6 2.31-0ubuntu9.9 ii libgl1 1.3.2-1~ubuntu0.20.04.2 libgl2ps1.4 recommends no packages. libgl2ps1.4 suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
