Package: virt-manager Version: 1:4.1.0-2 Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
I have been using a virt-manager created Windows 11 VM on Bullseye for a few years without problem. Recently after upgrading to Bookworm after soft freeze, it starts to cause my system to freeze and it does not accept any input. I've also created a cronjob that checks for network access every 5 minutes and the script stopped working once this happens, which kind of confirms that the system is locked up. The only way to solve this is to force shutdown and restart the system. Right be for I upgrade to Bookworm, I was using packages with the following versions: * virt-manager 1:3.2.0-3 * qemu 7.1+dfsg~2-bpo11+3 * Linux kernel 5.19.11-1~bpo11+1 Now * qemu 1:7.2+dfsg-4 (with other package versions below). I'm not sure whether this is an issue of virt-manager, qemu-system, or a Linux kernel. Please help triage this issue, and I'm willing to provide more information and test to further diagnose this as instructed. Thanks in advance. -- System Information: Debian Release: bookworm/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing'), (200, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 6.1.0-5-amd64 (SMP w/16 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages virt-manager depends on: ii dconf-gsettings-backend [gsettings-backend] 0.40.0-4 ii gir1.2-gtk-3.0 3.24.36-4 ii gir1.2-gtk-vnc-2.0 1.3.1-1 ii gir1.2-gtksource-4 4.8.4-4 ii gir1.2-libosinfo-1.0 1.10.0-2 ii gir1.2-libvirt-glib-1.0 4.0.0-2 ii gir1.2-vte-2.91 0.70.3-1 ii python3 3.11.2-1 ii python3-gi 3.42.2-3+b1 ii python3-gi-cairo 3.42.2-3+b1 ii python3-libvirt 9.0.0-1 ii virtinst 1:4.1.0-2 Versions of packages virt-manager recommends: ii gir1.2-ayatanaappindicator3-0.1 0.5.92-1 ii gir1.2-spiceclientglib-2.0 0.41-2 ii gir1.2-spiceclientgtk-3.0 0.41-2 ii libvirt-daemon-system 9.0.0-1 Versions of packages virt-manager suggests: ii gir1.2-secret-1 0.20.5-3 ii gnome-keyring 42.1-1+b1 pn python3-guestfs <none> pn ssh-askpass <none> ii virt-viewer 11.0-2 Versions of packages virt-manager is related to: ii libvirt-clients 9.0.0-1 ii libvirt-daemon 9.0.0-1 ii libvirt0 9.0.0-1 ii osinfo-db 0.20221130-2 -- no debconf information
