sorry if I was not clear enough.
Here is what I did:

install cfs package

start nfs server
(for nfs-user-server you have to add one entry to /etc/exports,
cfsd will tell you the exact line)

showmount -e shows your exports

/etc/init.d/cfs start
it tells you that it got started, but no cfsd process is running

showmount -e now prints an error message
your nfs server is not running any more

I don't have access to my machine at the moment so I can't reproduce
the exact messages now, I can give them tomorrow if you need them.


cfs was not updated in a long time.
I first tried to downgrade the nfs-server and kernel, that did not work.
after downgrading mount, cfs worked again.

perhaps you have to create an encrypted directory to see the bug.
you can use cmkdir for that.
