I am interested in adding to udev something like the write_*_rules scripts we have for other kinds of devices, but it's not a priority for me and I will not work on this right now. If you are interested in working on this and need help then feel free to ask. I understand that other distributions do not consider this important since modern desktop applications use HAL. -- ciao, Marco
