I agree, it's only a matter of feeling. I prefer the "accept" phrases,
but it's just my personal opinion.

It shouldn't be a sentence, it should be a real prompt.
Most common examples are
login:
password:
I think you agree with me that a simple "password:" prompt is better
than "Enter your password:" or "What is your password?".
If you want to complete your short description, then use the extended
description.

Also note that the intention is not to force maintainers to find
workarounds to avoid lintian warnings, but to improve the debconf
consistency, by having similar styles in similar situations.

Perfect, it will give time for translators to update their translations.
Once the "prompt" issue has been solved in a way you like, please use
the podebconf-report-po(1) tool to ask translators for updated
translations.
