Communications involving you (both to and from you, both correctly and misinterpreted by both you and others) have been the crux of this matter for months if not years. You need to improve the way you communicate with people; but doing so will be a long and ongoing process and it will take a long time for you to re-earn the trust of a number of other members of the project, and I suspect for you to be comfortable trusting them again. In the immediate term, that means it's necessary for you to interact with those people in a way that does not rely on the trust that is simply no longer there, on either side. > What do he expect to gain by forcing me to go through his humiliating > proposal ? There is nothing humiliating about filing good bug reports with patches and problem explanations, or making NMUs. > Already Anthony, and Ian have declared that yes, indeed, it is ok for someone > holding some kind of power, to use it to silence opponents in social disputes. As dozens of list posts and copious lines of IRC logs can demonstrate, you have not been silenced, nor has any notable effort been made to silence you. Cheers, aj
