I cannot reproduce your described behaviour… $here, the buttons are as they should be, clickable, and they do their job: toggle undocked/dock… Some ideas: have you additional infomrations about your setup? Wayland? Xorg? Does FreeCAD "say" something in the console? Have you made sure to apt full-upgrade, so that you have everything updated from sid? Any held back packages? Any third party repositories?
